The 6th Annual Arts and Music Fair at ElwoodPark, Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, August 11, 2012 was a very good Fair. People came out with family, walking about to see what each booth had to offer. The music was quite good, John and I enjoyed it. I am sure the others who came enjoyed it also. Thanks to all the musicians who worked hard to achieve their goals. When people come out to have good time together usually they bring out the good side of humanity. For example a woman came with a man in the wheel chair with a small dog, when she saw anther small dog near by she went to the dog and gave water to the dog. I was so busy I had no time to walk around to see what the activity at each booth. After we packed our supplies to leave at about 6 P.M., I rushed out to the music stage area. I was lucky to watch the singer singing a very nice song. One couple got up from their seats to dance. The dancing lady carried a water bottle on her hand. Another gentle lady went to take the water bottle from the dancing lady. Most the people are generous if they have a chance to be so. Opposite my booth was a very popular booth, kids and adults lined up to have their face or body painted. Not very far away next to the iron fence hanging artworks from different artists, I went to see one artist who was working on a portrait. Next to him a portrait of President Barack Obama was displayed. The artwork was done by him and was very good.
The fair was good for the community to communicate, seeing new things, and meeting people who you know and not know, and listening to live special culture music serenading everyone at the fair. It was a happy time for the community. This is one type of Peace we can achieve, through trusting and understanding each other, and showing generosity and kindness to one another. For this successful event we have to thanks to Mr. Carlos Maldonado Pastrana, President of La Asociacion de Barranquitenos de NJ and other organizers and supporters making it happen with cooperation and well meaning for all. I would like to dedicated this video to Ambassador J Christolpher stevens and others who died in Libya and other places because of the misunderstand between beliefs in their religions. I hope that Peace will come to the world and I hope that one of the comments in my Peace Project in this Puerto Rican Fair will come true soon “Peace means for the Whole World to live as one without any hate and to live with love.”
Let there be Peace on Earth
