Cherry Blossoms at Branch Brook Park

On Sunday, April 7, 2013

Wake up Cherry Blossoms

We long for you

Please show us

Your beauty and charm

See?

The children are running around,

Beside and underneath you

Seeing you come out in spring

 It is a happy time

John and I went to Branch Brook last Sunday, April 7th, to observe the Cherry Blossoms blooms.  Some of the small cherry trees are blooming with beautiful pink and red flowers.  But most of the mature cherry trees are still in bud formation.  John would like to have his pottery students, who are also our friends, join us for a picnic and enjoy cherry blossoms on Sunday, April 15th.   After we saw the cherry blossoms around the park, John and I agreed that Sunday, April 21st will be the best time for most of the blossoming trees to be in full bloom.  It will be the ideal occasion for us to get together with our friends.  I took photos of some areas of the park.  Some people came with children to enjoy the warm day and fresh air.

Spring Everywhere in the World

Walking and talking

Holding hands in the park

Enjoy the warm day

Away from the winter past

Spring comes

We are happy to be together

No war

No fighting

How nice it could be

If the troubled world could see us

And join hands with us

Please come

To celebrate the spring

It is a better and happy way

Joining hands in the park

Immigrants

Little ducks and big geese swimming in a pond

Where do you come from?

Don’t worry, wherever you come from

We welcome you

And glad to see you

Healthy and strong

You contribute your beauty to the pond

We all come from somewhere

As long as we are in harmony with nature

We add beauty to society as a whole

Happiness in Return

Time to come out

To catch the beauty of nature

Snap here, Snap there

Oh you gorgeous flowers

If I can give pleasure to others

As I receive from you now

My life will be worthwhile

Even though your blossoms live a short life

Your beauty lasts long

By capturing your beauty

For others to see

I glimpse of their happiness

That is all I am longing for
