Putting a piece of my

Homemade whole wheat spinach pie

In my mouth

Sipping with a cup of hot fat free milk

With eyes on the TV screen news

 

Enjoying my food

And absorbing the news of the day

 

I am happy

Free and comfortable

 

My tomorrow has gone

 

Remembering yesterday

I sat in the same place

Eating the same food

Just to fill the belly

And passing time

 

Dreaming of tomorrow

My other half will come

 

I am whole now

Now is happiness

Now is present

I live on

 

No more tomorrow

 

My life is full

I am happy now
