“Happy Mother’s Day Mali”

Every Mother’s Day is a special day for all mothers to feel that the fruit trees that she nurtured all this time are growing beautifully when she sees the appreciates her offspring with love and concern.  But this year Mother’s Day is more special for us because our daughter, Mali is pregnant and soon she is going to have her own tree to cultivate and nurture.  I was lucky to receive very nice pictures from two mothers.  One is Cynthia; she is our good friend, Min’s daughter and another set of pictures from far away in a different continent.  Titti is an Italian teacher.  We know her when she came to study at Rutgers University in Newark a few years ago.  Titti, Roberta and Puala visited our shop.  I introduced them my Peace Project.  We contact by internet, I send them my new projects that I post on my website.  They are kind enough to respond.  I will post Cynthia and Titti pictures with my new artwork.  Also Roberta was generous to send me her favorite The Daffodil poem by William Wordsworth with very nice field of daffodil picture which I will include in this project.

Yesterday and today I enjoyed spending my time doing the artwork for my Mother’s Day Project.  I still have quit a few cherry blossom photographs I took in Branch Brook Park that I would like to post on my Blog page.  I love Japanese artwork.  Thanks to the artists who produced the artworks and the websites that post the Japanese artworks.  This allowed me to enjoy viewing them.  I cannot help putting the cherry blossom pictures with the Japanese artwork since I always associate Japanese people with beautiful cherry blossoms in spring.

 Happy Mother’s Day Everyone 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hi.Ing,

What wonderful relaxing images. The Cherry Blossoms are really gorgeous. These are some flowers from my little garden: roses, lilies, orange blossoms, big lemons and wisterias. Nature in spring is so beautiful!

Hugs to you and John

Hi Ing,

of course you can post my pictures even  if they are not as beautiful as those Cherry Blossoms in Newark. I’m glad you liked it. I’ve got a very little garden but in spring I fall in love with blossoms. In a few weeks my Bougainvillea will have wonderful flowers and I’ll take pictures to send you.

I’m gong to bed after a tiring day.

The Daffodils Poem by William Wordsworth and A Daffodil Field Picture from Roberta Miscia

Dear Ing,

I’m sending you one of my favourite poems: “Daffodils” composed by William Wordsworth. You will certainly find it awesome and imaginative particularly in the poet’s capacity to render the extraordinary beauty of Nature, which was a source of an ecstatic experience able to transform his melancholic state of mind into a joyful flowery dance.

Have a nice Sunday!

Hugs, 🙂

Hi Ing,

a second photo with daffodils.

Have a good day,

🙂

Roberta Miscia

The white cherry blossoms appear behind the cafe sign at the corner of Halsey Street and New Street.

White cherry blossoms brighten New Street and the Rutgers Law School Clock Tower in the warm spring season.

Beautiful cherry blossoms are in full bloom making us feel lively.

Beyond the beautiful white cherry blossoms flags are displayed by the entrance to Rutgers University Law School and Liberal Arts campus, on Washington  Street and New Street.

Pink cherry blossoms of small trees are in full bloom on the ground of Rutgers University campus.

Washington Street sign appears in the see-through lace of fresh gorgeous white cherry blossoms on the New Street corridor.   Sunday, April 19, 2015.

Rutgers University banner stands next to St. Patrick’s Pro Cathedral on Washington Street and Bleeker Street.

Pink blossoms by the St. Patrick’s Pro Cathedral at the corner of Washington Street and Central Avenue prove that spring is here and ready to show the vibrant colors to passing viewers.

Let us be happy while we can

Enjoying nature while we can

For we do not know

What the future will bring

Natural disaster

Physical deterioration

Trouble will come

Sooner or later

No time to fight

Enjoy the beauty of nature

Be peaceful with each other

Be happy while we can

Below the Central Avenue sign, another shows directions to Rutgers University and St. Michael’s Center (Hospital).

White cherry blossoms are in full bloom decorating the courtyard of the Newark Museum on Central Avenue and Washington Street.

Nature creates beauty for mankind

Mankind creates beauty

For us all

 (Hopefully)

St. Michael’s Hospital patients can peek though the window to view the cherry blossoms by the fence.

Nice new housing replaces the housing project.  I wonder where the poor residents in the old project would go.  Are they moving to another poor housing project?

Far away, Secret Heart Cathedral appears behind the bare branches of tall trees and the Colonnade, a high rise apartment building opposite Branch Brook Park.

A long abandoned large empty building stands near the highways intersection at the edge of Branch Brook Park.    Art lives only when we pay attention to it.

Humans live peacefully when we are concerned

And pay attention to each other.

We saw white cherry blossoms bloom here and there along the way to Branch Brook Park.  If we cultivated them we will see the beauty of nature.

This is one edge of Branch Brook Park at the intersection of 8thAve and Clifton Ave.

People enjoy a nice day in the park.  If we build it people will come.

I love this pink house.  It is unique and eye catching.

The information above is from a book I wrote on Cherry Blossoms at Branch Brook Park, Newark, New Jersey in April 1994.  There are details, directions and history of Branch Brook Park and the Cherry Blossom Trees.  I wrote this in, “The Eyes of Morris”, a smart dog that belonged to one of our friends.

Peace with Nature

Seeing beautiful cherry blossoms

Make me smile with happiness

Delicate flowers in clusters

White, pink and red

Under an umbrella

Of a cherry blossom tree

In cool comfort

Seeing through lace

Between flowers

Observing activities

People walk around

Enjoying sunshine

And pretty blossoms

A child on father’s shoulder

While mother snaps their picture

Little girl runs about

Admiring small clusters of flowers

Looking around before

Picking one for her hair

I enjoy seeing people

As much as beautiful blossoms

Hiding under a cherry blossom tree

Peace is present

We are all

In harmony with nature
