Ing’s Indoor Forest of Hibiscus and Jasmin Flowers in Winter, Ing and John’ s Artwork
In our small Living-room, my Gandhi, self-portrait, our grandsons’ artworks and more are displayed on the walls. The two sides of sofa and table, are large Hibiscus plant and other plants that I grew from seeds, such as Avocados, mangoes and others. Some of flower plants, such as Butterfly bush trees, I will cut the mature branches and put them in a container of water. Pretty soon the root will grow, waiting for me to plant them in the flowerpots.
When my husband and I came back from Thailand on November 15, 2023, I hurried to bring the plants inside our apartment. Luckily, a lot of plants were in good conditions. I was very happy to see four beautiful red Hibiscus flowers in December of last year.
This Hibiscus flower bloomed on December 29, 2023.
My Gandhi’s artwork accompanies a fresh and vibrant red Hibiscus flower, making our cold winter season become more livable and comfortable in our cozy house.

I painted this water color, self-portraits in 1975. When I studied at Rutgers University. I took few classes of painting as elective requirement classes. But Chemistry was the major for my bachelor degree. I continued my education for my master degree in Polymer Chemistry at New Jersey Institute of Technology. I love both art and science. But in later years my interest turned more to art. I feel more freedom and independence when I produce my artwork and writing. I still love science, I read scientific Journal, such as Scientific America, Live Science, NOVA, NASA and others, I have selected some of articles that I like or for their importance for the human progress, to post in the Blog page of my website, www.ingpeaceproject.com.
These are some of my Sculptures that I did many years ago.
A lot of plants, big and small all over my studio, that I call, “My Little Forest”.
My Winter Jasmine
Evening breeze with beautiful fragrance
Mother, father, laughs
When we gather after dinner
Relaxing after the blaze of sun calms down
Greening bush of the white flowers near by
Laughing with us from the fragrance
That cannot be denied
Oh, my Jasmine!

Smelling the beautiful fragrance
That I long for
Far away I know who you are
Your delicate white body
Fresh and dainty
Reminds me of a little wooden house in Thailand
The fragrance gives me peace and happiness
Finding that even with chilled weather outside
I still find you
You are my favorite of all the others
Forgive me for my prejudice

Bringing back the past of homeland

Yesterday I was passing by the plants that I brought inside our apartment to run away from the cold chill weather of winter outside. I put avocado, hibiscus, Thai citrus, grapefruit plants close together and two jasmine plants on the outside around the others, because the jasmine plant is a shorter bushy plant. In general, the jasmine plants will give out flowers in the hot summer time as a topical plant that grow quite well in Thailand. I smelled a beautiful fragrance that came from the plants area. To my surprise I stopped by and tried to find the flower. I know this smell very well since I was young in my homeland, Thailand. One white flower standing tall alone from the others giving a fragrance that no one will ever pass by. I showed John the flower as he could not resist putting his Welsh nose right on the petite, delicate white flower. The aroma of it will surpass all the other lovely flowers. I noticed that there are more than fifty little ones that will blossom by the time of the holiday season. I consider myself very lucky to have my Winter Jasmine.

I love plants and flowers. It makes me happy when I see the freshness of green leaves and beautiful flowers blooming. Our shop is closed temporally, and the window gate is down. I thought that if I display our artwork and some of the plants from our backyard garden in front of the shop gate, it would make it more pleasant for the people who pass by. I am happy to do it, and I hope the artwork and the plants will help the downtown office workers or others feel fresh and lively.
This artwork of mine titled, “I Have A Dream – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr”, I displayed from, Wednesday, August 14, 2019, to August 21, 2019. I produced this work in 2010. I also added more plants to fill the front of shop space.
I am very happy to have an opportunity to display our artworks in public. There were people asking some questions about our artwork. Some people took pictures of our artwork. It seems to be a positive reaction from the people who view them. People comment about the beautiful plants and unique artwork.

Ing & John’s Street Art and International Street Art-Part 3
My Thai classical artwork was displayed on Thursday, August 22, 2019. I produced this artwork in1994.
Kai, our grandson, loves to do painting. He volunteers to do artwork in front of our shop. My husband, John Watts, is helping Kai, if Kai needs any assistance.
On Monday, August 28, 2019 John added his work to the display. John’s artwork is on the far left, “Impossible Dreamer”. “Gandhi Man of Peace”, in the middle is my artwork, which I produced in 2010. The far right is John’s artwork “Beneath the Lake”. Thanks to John Watts, my husband, for helping to display the artwork in a better presentation.
There are some people asking us about our artwork that we display in front of our building. So, we decided to post a sign to let people know who did the artwork along with my Peace Poem.
