Thousands of People and Thousands of Artworks In New York City Part 3

Thousands of People and Thousands of Artworks In New York City Part 3

On Tuesday, August 30, 2022

Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, it was more than two years since we came to New York City.  NYC was an epic place for the deadly virus and took many lives.  Now we came to enjoy the place and people once again.  The COVID-19 virus is scaled down a great deal, and many more people have been vaccinated to prevent the virus.  However, some people who took the vaccine still get sick from the virus, but the sickness is not severe or deadly.  Some people were still wearing masks but many more did not.

We still see the mixture of people that makes us feel comfortable to be in NYC.  It is a melting pot, and in many ways a center for the diverse population of the world.

We walked toward to the Chinatown area where are the rows of Chinese restaurants on every street.  Our stomachs were growling in anticipation of the taste of fried dumplings and sour soup.

Our destination was not a big restaurant.  We headed to the small lane, called Mosco Street.   In the middle of the lane is a very small takeout restaurant that specializes in fried dumplings and soup.  We bought fried dumpling and soup to go.

🙂THE DUMPLING LADY OF CHINATOWN 🙂

At the bottom of the lane, just a few minutes’ walk from the dumpling restaurant, is a small park, called Columbus Park Playground.  There is a basketball court next to the children’s playground.  There are some benches for parents or anyone to sit and rest, enjoying watching the little children play on the swings and slide.  We found a bench to sit, watching little ones having a good time playing while we consumed our delicious fried dumplings and soup.

We went to buy a pack of Melon cakes for John.  I chose a pack black bean cakes and we also bought some other items to take home.

We walked back down to Mosco Street heading home, taking Path train to Newark, New Jersey.  As we looked up, we saw the New World Trade Center standing tall in the sky.

We wanted to celebrate our trip to NYC, but we could not stop thinking about September 11, for the anniversary for twentieth year was coming soon.  We still remember the event that caused heart ache for so many people.  But following that dreadful day, an important thing happened in USA and around the world.  It became a unifying factor for solidarity among most of humanity.  Today however, it seems the opposite is taking place.  Especially in US politics, such as January 6 event in 2021 with the mobs ordered by Mr. Trump to attack the US Capital.

Please make every effort to encourage unity, compassion and understanding between people the world over.  With this we can find peace and happiness together as one human family.

Remembering 9/11 and One World Trade Center, New York City, New York

Remembering 9/11 and One World Trade Center, New York City, New York

Memorial to World Trade Center

John and I had planned for a while to take a trip to Swansea, Wales, UK to visit John’s older sister Phyllis.  Finally, we bought two tickets from Air India.  We were scheduled to leave Newark, NJ on September 10, 2001.  We always plan to stay more than three weeks’ vacation as we wanted to spend as much time with Phyllis as we can, since Mom, John’s mother passed away in summer 1994 and Phyllis was alone by herself.  So, we planned to stay with her until October 9, 2001, which was the day we returned home to Newark.  ————————————

“Do you know the World Trade Center collapsed?”

The taxi man asked us while he took our luggage out from the trunk.

“No!  It is impossible.  We just came from World Trade Center.”

We responded.

“Two planes hit the twin towers.”

The taxi man gave us more information.

After greeting Phyllis, we ran in the living room and turned on the TV and found out that there were no Twin Towers anymore.  We learned that the terrorists hijacked the airplanes and used planes as weapons to destroy the buildings and people on the plane and thousand more in the World Trade Center Towers.  We also learned about the disasters in Washington DC and Pennsylvania. ——————————————————

After we came back home to Newark, NJ from Swansea, the first thing I wanted was to visit the remains of WTC to join others who felt the sadness from the loss of so many people.  We also went to Jersey City by the peer at the bank of Hudson River opposite WTC to look at the empty spots where Twin Towers would have been. Our hearts ached and we were confused as to the cause of this destruction.  We liked to bring friends and family to view the NY skyline and watch the 4th of July fireworks by the Hudson River with the WTC in the background.

I began doing the artwork relating to WTC, a few ceramic sculptures as a Memorial for the Twin Towers.  I kept my artwork to myself.  I showed them to only few people who were close to me.  I did not want to provoke negative feelings or bad memories in others.  I felt such sadness about this horrible event.  It is the same sadness for any horrible event such as Holocausts, the nuclear bombs in Japan, the killing field in Cambodia, in Rwanda and other places in the world.  We humans never learn to be civilized.  We seem so quickly to forget the horrible events that took place and then bad things happen again.  We kill each other directly and indirectly.  The indirect actions of corruption, greed and power hunger cause direct action to surface.  Innocent people will always end up suffering the effects.  Hopefully we will be wiser and able to learn from past events and improve our human race to be able to live with each other in peaceful coexistence.

Twenty years have passed since the 9/11 events and I would like to share my artwork with others and express some of my thought on my Peace Project website.

Many thanks to my daughter and son-in-law who subscribe the website for me and my husband who has the patients to correct my writing.

The followings are the pictures of my sculptures I produced on March 16, 2002 I made especially as a memorial to the Twin Towers and the people who lost in these events:

The description of WTC memorial:

Two towers stand erect, supported by two long panels.  Outside of two panels are animal designs in one side and the garden and plants on the other side.  The long path between the two towers inside panels is blank spaces which can be the area that the loved ones or any ones express their thought in writing.  And the corridor between two panels can be the place for children to play hide and seek.

I made this small-scale Twin Towers sculpture as a replica for loved ones or any ones who comes to mourn, let go of sadness and to remember the loss.  I hope we can realize that we should enjoy and appreciate one and other while we are still alive.

Lost Hope

Little girl feels

Little girl hurts

To feel the pain so young

Her innocent lost

Even though it hasn’t begun

We all lost our innocent and freedom

Innocent of hoping working hard

We will be better some day

But freedom lost

Sudden someone comes

And take the hope away

On Tuesday, September 11, 2001 a total of 343 firefighters died with thousands of innocent civilians in the World Trade Center and other locations. Their lives were taken away by fanatic, brainwashed believers of a distorted version of their own religion.  If the hijackers believe in humankind and nature, they would not kill themselves and others.  So, one should always learn to questions what one is told to believe.

I salute all the brave firefighters and others who risk their lives saving others.  May peace be with the brave firefighters, all their families and the others.

Respectfully yours,

Order from the Top

Sharp bayonet piercing on my back

As I am dying

Why do you kill me?

I don’t know you!

And you didn’t know me!

Oh! I forget

It’s an order from the top

If you didn’t kill me

I probably will kill you

Because I got order from the top also

Mother liberty holds the twin towers

Close to her heart

Protecting World Trade Center

With her believe

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Mother Liberty, do we still breathe free in this land of liberty?

Breathe free with fear for this event has come

Don’t shed your tears for this human race

The lesson learns might make us grow

What is the same and different between these two men?

One, they are both human beings

Two, they are both dead

Three, they are well known

Four, they both had a goal to be achieved

Five, one is nonviolent and other is violent

Six, one is spinning cotton on a wheel and other has a weapon

Seven, one is productive and other is destructive

Which do we prefer after we analyzing the lives of these two men?

History will record these two men’s actions when they were alive

I hope we can learn from these two people without vengeance and hatred

Let us teach our younger generations all over the world

To understand that we are all the same

If we harm others then we will harm ourselves in the end

Do not brainwash the youngsters!!!!!!!!!!!

World Trade Center Remembered

World Trade Center falls

Becoming colorful Twin Towers

Teaching us

They are here

And they are gone

Thinking how good

When they are standing there

As we take things for granted

Even with the love ones

Or the cleaning workers

Or the others that faithfully

Do their jobs for everyone

World Trade Center

 Becomes colorful

In our mind

 I didn’t do anything

Why you hate me this much?

What did I do wrong?

Or did my fellow countrymen

Cause the trouble to the others

That I do not aware of?

These questions and thought

Become active

In my brain neurons

Start charging for reasons

Thanks to the Twin Towers

You make us think

I miss you

World Trade Center Under the Same Moon

World Trade Center Under the Same Moon

The moon rises over the night sky

We sit and hold hand tight

Looking at the moon gets brighter

And the sky turns dark

By the Hudson River

Once we stood here

Watching the moon

Over the World Trade Center

Our hand firmly together

The same moon

But now the new one rise

Under the same sky

And the shiny moon

Let us hope

Peace will come to mankind

No fighting, no killing

Let build new World Trade Center

Under the same moon

As our hands tightly grip

Bond us with each other

And bond us all

Let Peace stand strong

Remembering 9/11

By Ing-On Vibulbhan-Watts

John Watts, my husband enjoyed being on the plane, sipping a drink after a nice Indian curry meal on the flight.  John was watching a movie while I tried to find the best position to sleep in until we landed at Heathrow Airport, UK. It took about six hours from Newark Airport, USA to Heathrow Airport, UK.  From Heathrow Airport we took the bus to Swansea where we had to sit for five hours.  At about 3:00 PM we reached the bus stop in Swansea. A Taxi man drove us to Phyllis’ house, John’s sister for duration of about fifteen minutes.

“Do you know the World Trade Center collapsed?”

The taxi man asked us while he took our luggage out from the trunk.

“No!  It is impossible.  We just came from World Trade Center.”

We responded.

“Two planes hit the twin towers.”

We spent most of our trip, almost a month, watching the TV to find out about the news of WTC disaster.  We were gathering newspapers for more information also.  We made a lot of phone calls to our daughter who was home in Newark, NJ, USA.  ———

Remembering 9/11

As we mourn the World Trade Center disaster – 9/11 this year, we are also mourning for more than 190,000 people so far, who passed away from COVID – 19.  We could not prevent the World Trade Center disaster – 9/11 because it came with a surprise attack from the terrorists within a short period of time.  But COVID – 19 started at the end of last year (2019).  Mr. Trump had knowledge about the deadly virus and knew that it was an air born disease and that it was not only dangerous to older people, but also to younger people.  Mr. Trump keeps lying to American citizens that everything is going to be O.K.   He never organizes or tries to warn or help people prepare, protecting them from getting the deadly virus.  Instead he tells people to go to work and pushes children to go to schools that do not have the time or finances to prepare for the safety of the children.  Mr. Bob Woodward’s Book, called, “RAGE”, and his tape recordings of Mr. Trump’s voice prove to everyone that he had knowledge about the deadly virus- COVID – 19 since the beginning of this year (2020).   He keeps on lying every time he talks to the press or goes to his rallies.  He never puts a mask on and tells his followers that it is OK not to wear masks or to social distance.

The following are news reports from different media talking about Mr. Bob Woodward’s book, RAGE and tape recordings of Mr. Trump’s voice.

The New York Times: 5 Takeaways From ‘Rage,’ Bob Woodward’s New Book About Trump

Mr. Woodward reveals that President Trump sought to play down the severity of the coronavirus and repeatedly denigrated the U.S. military.

President Trump described his chemistry with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, to the journalist Bob Woodward, saying: “You meet a woman. In one second, you know whether or not it’s going to happen.” Credit…Erin Schaff/The New York Times

By Aishvarya Kavi  Sept. 9, 2020

“This is deadly stuff,” President Trump said of the coronavirus in a Feb. 7 interview with the journalist Bob Woodward for his upcoming book, “Rage.” But it was a vastly different story than he was telling the public at the time. Mr. Trump would later admit to Mr. Woodward that publicly, he “wanted to always” play down the severity of the virus.

Mr. Woodward conducted 18 interviews with the president for the book, which goes on sale next week. Mr. Trump also granted Mr. Woodward access to top officials inside the White House, revealing the inner workings of the president and his administration.

Here are five takeaways.

Mr. Trump minimized the risks of the coronavirus to the American public early in the year.

Despite knowing that the virus was “deadly” and highly contagious, he often publicly said the opposite, insisting that the virus would go away quickly.

“I wanted to always play it down,” Mr. Trump told Mr. Woodward on March 19. “I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”

And while he was saying publicly that children were “almost immune” to the virus, he told Mr. Woodward in March: “Just today and yesterday, some startling facts came out. It’s not just old, older. Young people too — plenty of young people.”

Latest Updates: The Coronavirus Outbreak

More live coverage: Markets

In April, as he began to urge the country to reopen, Mr. Trump told Mr. Woodward of the virus, “It’s so easily transmissible, you wouldn’t even believe it.”

Two of the president’s top officials thought he was “dangerous” and considered speaking out publicly.

Gen. Jim Mattis, Mr. Trump’s former defense secretary, is quoted describing Mr. Trump as “dangerous” and “unfit” for the presidency in a conversation with Dan Coats, the director of national intelligence at the time. Mr. Coats himself was haunted by the president’s Twitter feed and believed that Mr. Trump’s gentle approach to Russia reflected something more sinister, perhaps that Moscow had “something” on the president.

“Maybe at some point we’re going to have to stand up and speak out,” Mr. Mattis told Mr. Coats in May 2019, according to the book. “There may be a time when we have to take collective action.”

Ultimately neither official spoke out.

Mr. Trump repeatedly denigrated the U.S. military and his top generals.

Mr. Woodward quoted Mr. Trump denigrating senior American military officials to his trade adviser, Peter Navarro, during a 2017 meeting.

“They care more about their alliances than they do about trade deals,” the president said.

And in a discussion with Mr. Woodward, Mr. Trump called the U.S. military “suckers” for paying extensive costs to protect South Korea. Mr. Woodward wrote that he was stunned when the president said of South Korea, “We’re defending you, we’re allowing you to exist.”

Mr. Woodward also reports that Mr. Trump chewed out Mr. Coats after a briefing with reporters about the threat that Russia presented to the nation’s elections systems. Mr. Coats had gone further than he and the president had discussed beforehand.

When asked about the pain “Black people feel in this country,” Mr. Trump was unable to express empathy.

Mr. Woodward pointed out that both he and Mr. Trump were “white, privileged” and asked if Mr. Trump was working to “understand the anger and the pain, particularly, Black people feel in this country.”

Mr. Trump replied, “No,” and added: “You really drank the Kool-Aid, didn’t you? Just listen to you. Wow. No, I don’t feel that at all.”

Mr. Woodward writes that he tried to coax the president into speaking about his understanding of race. But Mr. Trump would only say over and over that the economy had been positive for Black people before the coronavirus led to an economic crisis.

Mr. Woodward gained insight into Mr. Trump’s relationships with the leaders of North Korea and Russia.

Mr. Trump provided Mr. Woodward with the details of letters between himself and the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, in which the two men fawn over each other. Mr. Kim wrote in one letter that their relationship was like a “fantasy film.”

In describing his chemistry with Mr. Kim, Mr. Trump said: “You meet a woman. In one second, you know whether or not it’s going to happen.”

Mr. Trump also complained about the various investigations into ties between his campaign and Russia, saying that they were affecting his abilities as president and his relationship with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

“Putin said to me in a meeting, he said, it’s a shame, because I know it’s very hard for you to make a deal with us. I said, you’re right,” Mr. Trump said.

Trump Tapes Reveal He Lied About Coronavirus Pandemic | Pod Save America

Sep 10, 2020   Crooked Media

A series of taped conversations between Donald Trump and Bob Woodward reveal that Trump knew about the severity of the coronavirus pandemic in early February and continued to downplay the threat it posed publicly. The tapes also contained a number of other revelations including racist views about Barack Obama, the leaking of top secret weapons systems, calling his generals “fucking pussies”, and his “fantasy”-like relationship with Kim Jong-Un. Then – oh my god, there’s more? – Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer discuss the fires in the western United States and how the media discusses the climate crisis. Finally, they discuss how the Donald Trump and Joe Biden campaigns are buying ads in swing states, and the state of the presidential race. Want to get involved to help Democrats win this November? About this data

Description

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus.

The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

HOW IT SPREADS

Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.

There’s two times more carbon in the earth’s soil than in all of its vegetation and the atmosphere — combined. Biogeochemist Asmeret Asefaw Berhe dives into the science of soil and shares how we could use its awesome carbon-trapping power to offset climate change. “[Soil] represents the difference between life and lifelessness in the earth system, and it can also help us combat climate change — if we can only stop treating it like dirt,” she says.

Plants are amazing machines — for millions of years, they’ve taken carbon dioxide out of the air and stored it underground, keeping a crucial check on the global climate. Plant geneticist Joanne Chory is working to amplify this special ability: with her colleagues at the Salk Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology Laboratory, she’s creating plants that can store more carbon, deeper underground, for hundreds of years. Learn more about how these supercharged plants could help slow climate change. (This ambitious plan is a part of the Audacious Project, TED’s initiative to inspire and fund global change.)

Cell Division Time lapse

francischeefilms   Published on Mar 13, 2017

Time_lapse of cell division from second cleavage. The animal pole is clearly visible in the upper half of the image. A brief note about the image capture techniques: Hi I can say that it was done with a custom designed microscope based on the “infinity optical design” It is not available by any manufacturer. I built it. I used LEDs and relevant optics to light the egg. They too were custom designed by me. The whole microscope sits on anti-vibration table. I have to say that it doesn’t matter too much what microscope people use to perform this. There are countless other variables involved in performing this tricky shot, such as for example: the ambient temperature during shooting; the time at which the eggs were collected; the handling skills of the operator; the type of water used; lenses; quality of camera etc etc. Hope this helps. Bohemia – A Year in the Wetlands – The Secrets of Nature

The Secrets of Nature   Published on Feb 6, 2015

Subscribe to watch full natural history documentaries! A new documentary is uploaded every week. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thesecretsof… Twitter: https://twitter.com/NatureUniversum In Bohemia, at the very heart of Europe, south of the Golden City of Prague and guarded by medieval castles, lies a hidden mosaic of lakes and gently flowing rivers, of misty forests and mysterious peat bogs. This important wetland, shaped both by nature and centuries of influence by man, is a magnet for huge flocks of birds and home to an amazing diversity of plant and animal life. In spring there is an explosion of life as the trees are weighed down with nests of cormorants, egrets, herons and storks. With the arrival of winter the landscape becomes silent and desolate. Otters are hunting fish under the ice of frozen lakes while White-tailed Eagles soar over gaps in the ice, targeting fish and birds. Since his early childhood wildlife cinematographer Jiri Petr has spent much of his time in this wildlife paradise. Together with him, we will explore this remarkable habitat and observe the changing faces of nature during the course of one year that inspired many artists and writers alike.

Children and Animals Commune Within Neglected Landscapes in New Paintings by Kevin Peterson

February 28, 2019   Kate Sierzputowski

For several years artist Kevin Peterson (previously) has created paintings that occupy the same fictionalized world. His imagined environments are occupied by children and animals— individuals band together as they navigate depleted urban environments. The works pair the innocence of its subjects against a broken and crumbling world, addressing the various journeys we each take through life.

Recently, Peterson has begun to paint just the animals in these scenes, rather than pairing them exclusively with children. “In my head, it’s the same world,” the Houston-based painter tells Colossal, “the animals and kids just haven’t met up yet. Maybe they’re searching for each other.” His solo exhibition Wild opens at Thinkspace Projects in Culver City, California on March 2, 2019 and continues through March 23, 2019. You can see more of his paintings on his website and Instagram. (via booooooom)

Memorial to World Trade Center

John and I had planed for a while to take a trip to Swansea, UK to visit John’s older sister Phyllis.  Finally, we bought two tickets from Air India.  We were scheduled to leave Newark, NJ on September 10, 2001.  We always plan to stay more than three weeks vacation as we wanted to spend as much time with Phyllis as we can, since Mom, John’s mother passed away in summer 1994 and Phyllis was alone by herself.  So we planed to stay with her until October 9, 2001, which was the day we returned home to Newark.

On September 10, 2001 I got up early to prepare for the trip with John.  We took the Path from Penn station,Newark to World Trade Center, NYC at about 2:00 PM.  After we got out from Path train we took the escalator and went up to the first floor Of WTC’s building passing a bank and shopping area to get to the NY subway that took us to Kennedy Airport.  Every thing was nice and smooth.  The weather was very good.  People enjoyed walking, traveling to somewhere or shopping much like any other time that John and I came to NYC.  Our plane took off at night.  John enjoyed being on the plane, sipping a drink after a nice Indian curry meal on the flight.  John was watching a movie while I tried to find the best position to sleep in until we landed at Heathrow Airport. It took about six hours.  From Heathrow Airport we took the bus to Swansea where we had to sit for five hours.  At about 3:00 PM we reached the bus stop in Swansea. A Taxi man drove us to Phyllis’ house for duration of about fifteen minutes.

“Do you know the World Trade Center collapsed?”

The taxi man asked us while he took our luggage out from the trunk.

“No!  It is impossible.  We just came from World Trade Center.”

We responded.

“Two planes hit the twin towers.”

The taxi man gave us more information.

After greeting Phyllis, we ran in the living room and turned on the TV and found out that there were no Twin Towers any more.  We learned that the terrorists hijacked the airplanes and used planes as weapons to destroy the buildings and people on the plane and thousand more in the World Trade Center Towers.  We also learned about the disasters in Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

We spent most of our trip, almost a month, watching the TV to find out about the news of WTC disaster.  We were gathering news papers for more information also.  We made a lot of phone calls to our daughter who was home in Newark.

John and I have many fond memories of WTC.  We had to pass by WTC every time we took trips to NYC, especially when we went to Chinatown to buy Chinese food and grocery.

In 1975 I just started dating John.  John helped me to frame my paintings for the exhibition in East River Saving Bank on the first floor of the WTC.  My parents and family who came from Thailand to visit us in the US liked taking trips to World Trade Center.  My parents were lucky enough to go up to the top of WTC to view NYC from the high distance.

We liked to bring friends and family to view the NY skyline and watch the 4th of July fire works by the Hudson River with the WTC in the background.

Ten years have past since the 9/11 events and I would like to share my artwork with others and express some of my thought on my Peace Project website.

I made this small scale Twin Towers sculpture as a replica for loved ones or any ones who comes to mourn, let go of sadness and to remember the loss.  I hope we can realize that we should enjoy and appreciate one and other while we are still alive.

Memorial to World Trade Center

Time to mourn

Time to cry

Wipe the sadness away

Time to remember

Time to live

Get up and go

Work awaits

I will go on

Remembering the past

With heavy heart

When you are apart

Lost Hope

Little girl feels

Little girl hurts

To feel the pain so young

Her innocent lost

Even though it hasn’t begun

We all lost our innocent and freedom

Innocent of hoping working hard

We will be better some day

But freedom lost

Sudden someone comes

And take the hope away

On Tuesday, September 11, 2001 a total of 343 firefighters died with thousand of innocent civilians in the World Trade Center and other locations. Their lives were taken away by fanatic, brainwashed believers of a distorted version of their own religion.  If the hijackers believe in humankind and nature they would not kill themselves and others.  So, one should always learn to questions what one is told to believe.

I salute all the brave firefighters and others who risk their lives saving others.  May peace be with the brave firefighters, all their families and the others.

Respectfully yours,

 I wish it were!

Something that have wings

To save him

I love butterfly

Deep in my heart

I sent the butterfly

To catch him

 Order from the Top

Sharp bayonet piercing on my back

As I am dying

Why do you kill me?

I don’t know you!

And you didn’t know me!

Oh! I forget

It’s an order from the top

If you didn’t kill me

I probably will kill you

Because I got order from the top also

Mother liberty holds the twin towers

Close to her heart

Protecting World Trade Center

With her believe

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Mother Liberty, do we still breathe free in this land of liberty?

Breathe free with fear for this event has come

Don’t shed your tears for this human race

The lesson learns might make us grow

What is the same and different between these two men?

One, they are both human beings

Two, they are both dead

Three, they are well known

Four, they both had a goal to be achieved

Five, one is nonviolent and other is violent

Six, one is spinning cotton on a wheel and other has a weapon

Seven, one is productive and other is destructive

Which do we prefer after  we analyzing the lives of these two men?

History will record these two men’s actions when they were alive

I hope we can learn from these two people without vengeance and hatred

Let us teach our younger generations all over the world

To understand that we are all the same

If we harm others then we will harm ourselves in the end

Do not brainwash the youngsters!!!!!!!!!!!

Flowers from my little garden

Floating in the air

Let each beautiful one

Touching each soul

Seeing beautiful things

Rising to the sky

Just wait for a little while

I will be with you all

World Trade Center Remembered

World Trade Center falls

Becoming colorful Twin Towers

Teaching us

They are here

And they are gone

Thinking how good

When they are standing there

As we take things for granted

Even with the love ones

Or the cleaning workers

Or the others that faithfully

Do their jobs for everyone

World Trade Center

 Becomes colorful

In our mind

I didn’t do anything

Why you hate me this much?

What did I do wrong?

Or did my fellow countrymen

Cause the trouble to the others

That I do not aware of?

These questions and thought

Become active

In my brain neurons

Start charging for reasons

Thanks to the Twin Towers

You make us think

I miss you

I have to be honest I have not looked up images form the events of 911 in many years. It was in that time that I moved to NYC and I came to my new home while it was in a state of broken fear.

You have created some very powerful images, in particular I’m moved by the image of the flowers in the dust cloud and the collage work with the people’s silhouettes infront of the wreckage. Your poems are so simple but speak in such short lines of deep feeling. Its the way my mind tries to come to terms with the events, in little lines and snapshots of images. Thank you for sharing your work, on such a hard and painful subject. Perhaps through art we can come to terns and work through some of the emotions left to us from that day.

Hi Chelsea,
Thank you so much for your comments. It was painful having to remember the horrible day. I hope we can learn from the event and make sure that it will not happen again. But looking at the situation, a lot of human behavior and the turmoil all over the world right now, it will probably take quite a long while for the human race to reach maturity and act as a civilized society as a whole.
Take care,
Ing
