Herald Square Park, New York City, New York In Spring 2014

I am sitting in my art gallery and work room with comfort.  It is nice and warm inside the house but outside at this time in late December the weather is cold and I see no flowers and green trees.  It made me think of spring time.  John and I went to New York City.  We stopped at the park between 33rd and 35th Street.  The weather was just right with bright sunshine.  People enjoyed sitting on the chairs with tables for putting drinks or other items.  John enjoyed the sun in a chair.  As a flowers lovers I gravitated to the bed of beautiful pink and white tulips, daffodils and other spring flowers.  People young and old were enjoying spending time in the park.  This small Park can give so much pleasure to humans.  In general people love nature.  Seeing the tall trees and the flowers bloom makes people happy.  Thanks to New York City for creating this little oasis named Herald Square Park.

Ing’s Little Forest and New Peace Sculpture 3

Ing’s Little Forest and New Peace Sculpture 3

I am happy to have my little forest back with me in my sculpture gallery and work room.  My forest, which is composed of four year old avocado, grapefruit, tangerine and mango trees that I planted from seed after we consumed the meat of the fruits.  Jasmine trees gave me a lot of little white flowers.  In few days they will blossom and give a beautiful fragrance that produces a natural perfume in my room.  My hibiscus and geranium plants are happy to be indoors getting away from the frozen winter’s cold.  My little forest inspired me to produce this new sculpture 3 and the verses.

Save Peace and the Forests

The little people

Guard the Peace

On the tree trunk

At the apex

Perches the little baby bird

Looking over everyone

Happy little bird

In this little forest

That Ing created

Out there all over the world

People cut down the trees

“I like to fly all over the planet”

Says the little bird

To visit my family, animals and People

In the Amazon, South America, Africa and Asia

To see the other birds just like me

If there are no trees

Where will I stay?

Please leave some trees

For me and other animals

Humans are clever

They build their houses with wood

Cutting down the trees

 They dig the ground

Taking minerals and oil

Oh, yes gas too

They take down mountains

For cement and other purposes

To build their tall buildings

Millions of bats use caves in the mountains

For their habitats

The bats help to fertilize the plants

Eating million insects

Balancing the insects population

For a healthy environment

Humans are fruitful

They are produce and multiply so fast

People are everywhere

All over the land

Demolishing the forests for their habitats and farms

They create pollution

Diminishing the animals in the sea

How can other animals exist?

If there is no place to live

Please leave us something

So we too can live on earth with you

 Some people help

To guard the trees

But they are few

And not as strong

And powerful as those

That want to destroy

Where are my mother and father?

I see no one anywhere

Search for them I must

They may have been killed

Or starved to death

No forests

No food

And the sea is poisoned

Am I alone?

Am I the last bird left on earth?

Will I become extinct like others?

Please help

Search for my parents and family

To keep me warm and comfortable!!!

Humans please let us live!!!

Please do not cut down the forests!!!

We want to live

To sing for you

To make the world more beautiful

Please let us live

Do not destroy our habitats

Do not destroy the forests

Let us live together

Making the world a better

And more peaceful place for all

For a long time I did not have a chance to produce sculpture.  I love to work with clay making sculptures but it is difficult and takes time to do.  John is diligent, after he finished teaching summer pottery class at Rutgers University, he put his mind to producing some mugs to give to friends, actors who read his plays and theaters that gave him the space for his play’s reading.  John also makes some large sculptures.  I admire and envy him at the same time because I want to make sculpture too.  He was generous to throw a tall vessel with a cover for me.  I squeezed out some time from doing artwork and projects for my website.  I finally finished a sculpture, and named it,” Peace Sculpture 3”.

Waiting For

I miss my flowers

I miss my butterflies

The day is short

Darkness comes sooner

Coldness is in the air

Warm cup of tea

In my hands

Remembering the black Swallowtail

I took photos of this summer

The roses in spring

Their beauty

I admired

Memories live on

Imprinted with words of

Peace composed

“Peace means No War”

“Peace means Love”

“Peace means that we can live

In the world Unity and Trust”

“Life, Love, Live”

“World Peace”

“Peace means Happiness to the World”

“Peace means World Harmony”

“Explore. Dream. Discover”

“Peace… Unity… Life, Love…”

“Peace for Peace”

“Peace means inner happiness”

“Native Americans for Peace”

“Peace is something that’s rare,

but when found cherished”

“Peace means serenity”

“When the Power of Love

Over comes the Love of Power

The world will know Peace!”

“Love and Understanding

Tomorrows Future”

“Peace & Love Make

the world go Round”

“Peace = unconditional Unity”

“Peace is being at one with the Universe”

I wish these words of Peace will come true

But there is sadness in our trouble world

Waiting for spring

Seeing flowers bloom

Birds, bees and butterflies

Will come again

Waiting for humans

To mature

For the world to be whole

That is what I wait for
